Paolo Rigoni

Kids Yoga teacher.

In April, 2010, my wife dared me to join her and try a hot yoga class for my first time.  At the end of that class, as I lay completely still yet vibrating intensely in a small pool of my sweat, I realized that I was hooked and wanted to come back for more.

Practice and all is coming… I did.  Trying many different practices of yoga over the years and several 30 day challenges.  In the Fall of 2013 I decided to go further, taking a 250 hour teacher program at Yoga Passage Calgary, with much gratitude to instructors Tracy Mann, Carol Hutchinson and Tanis Fishman for sharing their gifts and love of yoga with me.

The immense Yoga Tree has many branches and my path has taken me to teaching both Kid’s yoga and Yin in Calgary studios as well as leading Nidra, Yin and Kid’s workshops with live music.  What a joy it is to share my love of yoga with the young Mokshies at MYCN.  Playing yoga games and flowing through sequences while they teach me how to play and laugh.  Often opening and closing class with a guitar or ukulele and a song.  It is very rewarding to see the wild younger new students become more engaged and in control of their bodies and moods with each practice.

We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
