Kendall Bowes

I first discovered yoga at Moksha Yoga London in 2007. I played on the Western University soccer team and was looking for something that would help heal my injuries and stretch out my tight hips! It was love at first sweat. I loved the feeling of peace, freedom and empowerment I would feel when I hit my mat.
I moved to Lethbridge in 2009 and searched for a yoga studio but at the time, there wasn’t one that I felt attached to. I developed a home practice but my consistency waned and gradually I felt more stress in my everyday life. A new hot studio opened up and I returned to regular practice and was again feeling inspired to make this a bigger part of my life. I was still missing my Moyo and I decided to follow my dreams and pursue becoming a yoga teacher! I did my Moksha Level 1 training (with Sadia!) in Kelowna in July 2015. What an amazing life changing experience that has catapulted me into a more balanced, healthy life.
I currently teach Moksha Inspired classes at Hot Yoga Lethbridge and teach at MYCN whenever I come to town. I also completed my Yin yoga training (taught by Alan M.), Yogafit Level 1 Vinyasa, Core and Prenatal yoga training. When I am not zenning out with my yoga practice or teaching, I like to get outside, play tackle football in the Western Women’s Canadian Football league (talk about ying and yang!) and cuddle with my kitties. Thank you for sharing your practice with me! Namaste.
