Moksha Yoga, Moksha Flow and Kids Yoga teacher.

My love for yoga began in 2006 when a co-worker and mentor invited me to join a class after an especially trying week as a corporate trainer.  Right away I knew that this was going to be something special in my life!  I spent nearly 20 years as a competitive dancer, completing my RAD in classical ballet, so alignment of breath and movement settled magically in my body.  After practicing a variety of different styles of yoga, I attended a moksha class in Edmonton and I knew moksha was right for me.  It offers accessibility, community, focus, and each teacher brings a unique flair and expertise to the practice.

Yoga has helped me both on and off the mat.  I have a passion for motorcycles and am definitely a high energy adrenaline junky – so yoga helps me keep focus and find calm in the challenge.  Whether I am prepping for a boardroom meeting or jumping on my dirt bike for a gnarly hill climb, it helps with balance, agility, and strength both mentally and physically.

Dance always played a huge role in my life and I realized that as I “grew up” (We never really do!!)  I was pulled further away from dance.  When I found yoga it helped with old injuries, renewed my body awareness, and brought immense joy to my life.  It was then that I knew I had to share it and be in service to others.  I completed Level one Moksha teacher training September 2012 in Montreal and have been blessed to be a part of my friend and teacher’s beautiful new studio in Calgary.  I am filled with gratitude to be on this journey, to grow, to learn, and to spread joy in this crazy world!  Namaste Yall!
