Yoga Camp for Young Athletes

The benefits of doing yoga, especially starting at a young age are becoming more and more apparent in our general population. Athletes are recognizing these benefits as well! A few reasons more athletes at all levels & all ages are integrating yoga into their routine:
*improved mobility & range of motion
*breath & body awareness
*focus & agility
*avoid common injuries related to sport
*higher understanding of the science & facts behind stretching

Join Linsday Coghlan at Moksha Yoga Calgary North for a Yoga For Young Athletes camp your kids won’t want to miss! Fun, educational, sport and yoga focused. Lindsay has over 15 yrs of competitive hockey experience as a goaltender. She played with team Alberta, team New Brunswick & finished her college career with the SAIT Trojans. Lindsay is Moksha Level 1 certified, and has since added Yin & Yoga for Athletes certifications to her resume. Her teaching style comes from her knowledge & experience in sport and her continuous passion for yoga.

WHEN: Monday, August 21st – Friday, August 25th
WHO: Young athletes, Ages 12-17
TIME: 11:30am – 3:00pm
NOTE: Yoga mats, towels & yoga props will be provided for athletes attending. Athletes to bring their own lunch.

Prenatal Yoga

Pregnancy is one of the most powerful times in a woman’s life. Learn to harness that energy through movement and breath to find connection to yourself and your baby.
Pre-natal yoga strengthens your body and mind in preparation for birth and motherhood. It creates stability to reduce pains associated with pregnancy, helping you to feel better and stand taller. It can help to alleviate fears surrounding childbirth and reduce stress.

Through the practice of yoga we build trust with ourselves and our bodies, building our intuition and our inner knowing. These are our greatest tools as we embark on the journey to becoming mothers.

WHAT: 7 week pre-registered Prenatal Yoga Session (non-heated)
WHEN: Sept 11th – Oct 23rd, 2017
TIME: Monday evenings, 6:30pm – 7:45pm
NOTE: Must pay upon registration, no pro-rating or class passes can be applied to this pre-registered session. Bring your yoga mat, two pillows or a bolster.
